All of our community are welcome at QIDerm regardless of age, gender, financial status, or nationality. Full skin checks are the best way to assess your skin with your dermatologist at QIDerm. The first appointment generally requires a full skin check conducted by one of our specialists, and accompanied by one of our residents or registrars. A skin examination will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes per patient. This can be significantly longer depending on the complexity of your problem. The dermatologist will examine and discuss the skin condition and possible treatments with the patient.
Department of Veteran Affairs
QIDerm has had a long standing commitment to treating veterans and war widows. Our dermatologists are experienced in treating complex cases, which are often a result of the hard work and dedication that these people have rendered to serve our country.

QIDerm conducts a number of clinical trials through their clinical research team.
We are a not-for-profit organisation and endeavour to make your visit as convenient and affordable as we can. When visiting our practice, costs may differ from time to time depending on the treatments you receive on the day. Billings are Medicare rebated, providing you have a current written doctors referral, and we provide on-site Medicare claiming for these patients. Any additional procedures may incur an extra fee, which will be discussed with you at the time of your appointment.
If you have any further questions about billings, please do not hesitate to contact us, or speak to one our administration staff who will be happy to assist you.
A referral is an important part of your appointment, as it not only provides us with information from your general practitioner, but also allows you to claim the maximum Medicare rebate. Without a current written doctors referral you will be unable to claim for the fees you incur whilst visiting us. A referral from your GP is valid for 12 months, or 3 months if it is from a specialist. Once your referral has expired, you will have to obtain a new one from your referring doctor. Your referral is valid from your initial visit at QIDerm and will have to be kept up to date during your treatments.
To see a dermatologist at our clinic you do not need a referral, however you will be unable to claim a Medicare rebate for your visit.
