Dr Lynda Spelman

Dr Lynda Spelman is a University of Queensland graduate with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree. After spending four years in general practice, she commended a Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists graduating in 1993.

 

Since becoming a fellow with the Australasian College of Dermatologists Dr Spelman has worked full time in private practice, initially at South East Dermatology until her move to Specialist Connect in 2009. She is the founder and chairperson at the Queensland Institue of Dermatology and the Queensland Skin and Cancer Trust.

A pioneer in her field, Dr Spelman has embarked on various research projects over the last 25 years. This research offers her the opportunity to be involved in new and innovative treatments for dermatological conditions including atopic dermatitis, chronic plaque psoriasis, basal cell carcinoma and inflammatory skin disorders.
